Communicare Training - Business as usual with Remote Learning!

 With the COVID-19 restrictions in place, we have moved our focus onto Remote Learining.

You can also now sign up for an eLearning course online, without having to complete any forms!


How are we building Remote Learning into our curriculum?

We have been using Articulate 360 and RISE for a while now to generate training and learning content.

We have also been using Cisco Webex to facilitate Webinars and other online learning environments for some time.


Preparing for Remote Learning

Prior to getting started with remote learning, it is important that the following requirements are met:


  • Webcam available so we can see you
  • For groups - Webcam or Video Camera available so the facilitators can see the whole group if individuals don't have their own Webcam 
  • Suitable headset with working microphone
  • For Groups - a microphone suitable to pick up questions from all participants if individuals don't have their own headsets plus a suitable sound system so that all participants can hear the facilitator clearly
  • Working internet connection with a minimum download speed of 10Mbps (to be tested via
  • Back up phone (speaker phone for groups) in case of audio problems or disconnections - a 1800 dial in number will be provided
  • Preference is that each participant has two (2) monitors available with the ability to use one (1) for the Webex demonstration and the other for Communicare when completing exercises
  •  For Groups - a large Television or Projector to show the Webex presentation
  • The Communicare Demo installed on a LOCAL ENVIRONMENT on each participant's lap top (not a remote server or remote desktop session). We do not recommend training in the live Communicare environment.
  • All participants attend a 5-10 minute walk through with Webex the day prior to the training commencing to confirm all of the technology is working!
Remote learning works best when participants are prepared and ready for their session.
